    Cities in Pasco County FL

St. Leo was named for the three Leos, Pope St. Leo I the Great, Pope Leo XIII, and Leo Haid. Leo Haid, the gentleman who supervised the building of both the College and Abbey, served as the president of the College from 1890 until 1894 when Rev. Charles Mohr succeeded him.

Although, St. Leo College is the first Catholic College in the State of Florida, it offers more than 41 academic programs. With small, personal classrooms, opportunities to develop close relationships with your professors are available. Located within the rolling hills of Pasco County, which alone is a sight not seen often in Florida, St. Leo offers many opportunities to enjoy the parks and nature that engulfs this community. According to the 2000 census, St. Leo, Florida was home to nearly 595 residents. In 2004 that number doubled creating more real estate options available to those that wish to live in this quaint little town.
